Waterbabies

You are never too young to learn how to swim! I think it is important to get children and babies in the water, as soon as possible, so they are able to establish a comfortable relationship with getting wet and learning to enjoy the water and swimming.Obviously babies and children under the age of two will most likely not be swimming laps or working on technique, but instead will be learning the basic skills of swimming and how to be comfortable in the water. I like to work on different concepts with babies such as pouring water over their heads, blowing bubbles, kicking, floating, and incorporating fun games and safety instruction so that they may learn what they are and are not capable of doing around the water.

All children learn and grow at different paces and skills, I work with each individual based on what he/she knows and is comfortable. I will never force a child to do something that he or she does not like or that the guardian does not aprove of. I believe that forcing a child into doing something they are not comfortable with can scar them in the long run and I not only want the child to learn to swim but to also find a new love for water and swimming!
